Penfield: June 19, 2013 at age 42. Predeceased by his father, Gary C. Baird, Sr.; grandfather, Carl N. Worden, Sr.; grandparents, William Baird and Mary Dempsey Baird and uncle, Edward Fenner. He is survived by his wife, Pamela; children, Owen, Madeline and Andrew; his mother, Peggy Gonzales; his grandmother, Dolores Worden; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Loretta Dintruff; sister, Jenny (Todd) Smith; brother, Jason (Jillian) Baird; sister-in-law, Leslie Dintruff; aunt, Liz Drew, aunt, Penny Fenner, uncle, Carl (Rose) Worden; nieces and nephew, Cora and Ryan Baird, and Claire Smith; many cousins and friends.

In April 2012, Gary was diagnosed with a bone marrow disorder, hypoplastic myelodysplastic syndrome and required a bone marrow transplant. Gary passed away due to complications from the transplant after an eleven month stay at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. Gary was a Caledonia-Mumford High School graduate, obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University at Buffalo and worked as a business and sales manager for Odyssey Controls in Bergen, NY. He was an avid reader, hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, hockey player and photographer. He served as a cubscout leader for Den 1, Pack 163 at St. Rita Church in Webster, NY for five years. He was a member of the MARS Club of Rocketry, and an all star wiffle ball player for the Perpetrators in the Oatka Wiffle Ball League in Mumford, NY. Gary was our rock, a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and uncle. We will miss his humor, quick wit, advice, loyalty and most of all, his love and friendship.
