Ben FULLER was born in Greene County, Indiana, October 11, 1855, and departed this life, June 1, 1908, aged fifty-two years, eight months and twenty-days. He was married to Alice COMBS November 17, 1881, to which union was born nine children—five girls and four boys, all of whom were left to mourn their loss, except one daughter who died in infancy in 1885. Mr. FULLER united with the Church of God at Walnut Grove in 1895, under the pastorate of Rev. Ellis LOVE, and lived a true Christian life; was always ready and willing at any time to lend a helping hand to build up the church and the cause of Christ and died happy in the triumph of a living faith. He bid his family and friends good bye and wanted to meet them in heaven where parting would be no more. His last request to his children was to live as good, honest, upright Christian men and women, and meet as unbroken family around the throne of God, and when the end was almost nigh he tried to sing, “In the Sweet Bye and Bye.” He will be greatly missed in the family circle, for his vacant chair can never be filled. But our loss is heaven’s gains for “blessed are they who die in the Lord.”
