Mrs. Roy Baker received sad news Saturday of death of her niece, Miss Peark Eakin of Harrisville, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Eakin, who were former residents near here. Almost 20 years old. Took ill Thanksgiving evening with appendicitis, terminating in peritonitis. Survived by parents, three brothers - eldest Alvin being at Camp Hancock and unable to come before her death. Services Wednesday a.m. at Harrisville, body brought to Pleasant View church for short service. Interment following there.
