Jessica Sue Beasley, 36, of Lomax and formerly of Niota and Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013 in a traffic accident in rural Carman, IL on her way to SCC for her LPN Pinning Ceremony.
She was born on September 12, 1977 in Burlington, IA to Glenda Haigh. Sue was a CNA at Great River Medical Center and also had obtained her LPN. She had worked at Sun Master Masonry while she lived in Phoenix. Sue was a 1995 graduate of Nauvoo Colusa High School and the SCC Nursing Program. Her plans were to further her education and obtain her RN and BSN degrees and pursue a career as a traveling nurse. She enjoyed target shooting and had taken quilting classes. Sue loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her niece Aspyn.
Survivors include her parents, Glenda and Howard Lillard of Niota, IL; brother, Tony (Lacey Gittings) Beasley of Dallas City, IL; niece, Aspyn Beasley of Dallas City, IL; aunts, Kathie (Alan) Cochran of Ft. Madison, Terri (Gene) Siegfried of Nauvoo, IL and Sandy (Jeff) Brown of Wever; uncles, Mike (Patty) Haigh of Nauvoo, IL and John (Deb) Beasley of Cincinnati, OH; several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends may call after 2 PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will receive friends from 4-6 PM. The funeral service will be held at 6 PM following visitation at King-Lynk Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Anderson officiating. Her body will be cremated following the service.
