Ray Neal Ford, age 78, of Lockney, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Lockney. Interment will follow at the Lockney Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 11 2013 at Moore Rose Funeral Home in Lockney. Arrangements are under the care of Moore Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.
Ray was born on May 14, 1935 in Cedar Hill, Texas to Raymond and Mamie Olivia (Carson) Ford. He started school at Liberty, went to Floydada for elementary and middle school, and graduated from Lockney High School in 1953.
Ray married Harriett Ann Agee on August 20, 1960 in Paso Robles, California. They moved from Lockney to the farm in 1961. Ray farmed near Cedar Hill and the Muncy areas for most of his life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lockney since 1960. They had six children, all born and raised in Lockney.
Ray is survived by Ann, his wife, of 53 years; Randy Ford, Roxanne Hogue, Russell Ford, Rachelle Young, Rance Ford and Ryan Ford; 21 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Preceding his death is Raymond and Mamie Ford, granddaughters, Ashlee Ford and Victory Hennagan.
