Clyde B. Baver, 94, of Country Meadows, Allentown, died Sunday, Oct. 24, in Country Meadows. He was the husband of the late Clara V. (Bergstresser) Baver.

Before retiring in 1971, he was a mechanical engineer and utility proposal manager for Babcock and Wilcox Co. in New York City and formerly in Ohio. He was the proposal manager for the largest boiler in the world, which was constructed for the TVA.

He was a 1928 graduate of Lehigh University.

Born in Shoemakersville, Berks County, he was a son of the late Allen A. and Semena R. (Smith) Baver.

He was a member and former trustee and elder of First Presbyterian Church, Allentown.

He sang in the mixed chorus at Country Meadows.

He was a 32nd degree Mason in the Hamburg Lodge.

Survivors: Sons, Clyde B. of Wyomissing, Berks County, and Bruce A. of Boonton Township, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Heintzelman Funeral Home, 326 Main St., Hellertown. Call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.
