Carrie Alice Rice, 76, Jameson Way, Winchester, Kentucky passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Ohio on August 10, 1937 the daughter of the late Irvin and Mae Carter Gregory. She was a homemaker and member of the Protestant faith. She is the widow of Cledis Rice.
She is survived by two sons, Cledis Rice of Winchester, KY and Bill (Karen) Rice of Shelby,MI; six daughters, Gerri Current of Mt. Sterling, Coretta Lou Thompson of Winchester, Charlene Strong of Muskegon, MI, Deborah Shutte of Grand Rapids, MI, Primadean Druin of Elko,SC and Patricia (Randy) Jensen of Hart, MI; a special friend, Kenneth Townsend of Winchester; twenty one grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Rice.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Hoyt officiating and burial following in the Polksville Cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday from 6-8 PM. Pallbearers will be Cledis Rice, Bill Rice, Larry Ray Monroe, Matthew Rice, Charles Rice and Randy Jensen.
