Married Mary Elizabeth Keeley on 7 Nov 1900 in Madison, WI. He was a partner in the Law Livery Company and a business manager for "Amerika", the Norwegian-American newspaper edited by his father Rasmus B. Anderson. In 1915 he became the secretary and treasurer of a department store in Madison until it was sold in 1922. After that he was a property manager for family properties. George and Mary had eight children:
