Dorothy Lee Caperton was born March 11, 1921 in Ink, Arkansas. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She departed this life on December 7, 2013, in Mesa, AZ.
On October 26, 1940, she married William Harlan Caperton. In the early 40's Dorothy moved to Brea, CA. She worked for the Boston Department Store in Fullerton as an office manager. After retirement, Dorothy moved back to Arkansas for 10 years before moving to Phoenix in 1994. She moved to Mesa in 2006.
Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Jeanette (Leon) Simmons of OR, and Donna (Dr. Robert) Nowlin of AZ; six grandchildren, Christi (Dave) Bullock, David (Lynn) Simmons, Shari (Kurt) Fruetel, all of CO, Dr. Nathan (Sandy) Nowlin of NM, Dr. Cindy (Tony) Gibson of VA, and Andrew Nowlin of AZ; nine great-grandchildren, Derek Fruetel, Devon Fruetel, Jeremy Bullock and Jessica Bullock of CO, Levi Simmons of Japan, Joshua, Jacob and Zachary Nowlin of NM, and Michael Gibson of VA; one great great grandchild, Cayden Fruetel of CO; two sisters, Gladys Cline and Geneva Robertson, both of TX; two sisters-in-law, Johnna McCarley and Jean Wolf, both of CO; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harlan Caperton, and her brother, George D. Wolf.
