Son of Robert Mitchell and N N Mitchell.

Will of Robert Mitchell:

In the name of God Amen, I Robert Mitchell of the County of Henry and State of Virginia, being in my perfect sences and memory. Thanks be to Almighty God for the same. I do appoint and ordain this my last will and testament, making void and disanulling all other wills and testament heretofore maid by me.... I commit my body to the ground from whence it was first taken to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors hereafter mentioned. I commit my spirit to God that gave it me hoping that thr the merits of God in Christ.....that I shall be partaken of eternal happiness and as for .... estate which it has pleased God to endow me with I .. and bequeath in form following.

I lend my loving wife Agnes Mitchell all my .... ... during her life......James, Sue, Susana and household furniture and stock of all kinds during her life.

I give and bequeath to my son John Mitchell one negro named Frank, also one negro boy named Sam.

I lend my son William Mitchell one negro man named Edward during his natural life and after his death I give the said negro Edward to his eldest son.

Also I give my son George Mitchell one negro lad named Peter.

Also I give and bequeath to my son Richard Mitchell one negro woman named Sary and one negro boy named Allan.

Also I give to my daughter Juda Coller one negro lad named Ben.

Also I give to my daughter Agga Boatman one shilling sterling.

Also I give my daughter Ann Pollard one shilling sterling and after the death of my wife Agnes Mitchell I give to my granddaughter Agga Boatman one feather bed... and calf.

Also after the death of my wife I lend to my son William Mitchell one negro man named James during his life and after his death to his son John Mitchell.

ALso after the death of my wife I give to my son Richard Mitchell one negro woman named Susanna and the best feather bed and furniture.

After the death of my wife I give to my daughter Juda Coller one big looking glass.

Also after the death of my wife all the rest of my estate that is not mentioned in my will I desire to be sold and the money equally divided between my sons John Mitchell, William Mitchell and my son Richard Mitchell. The .. ... ... .. not to be appraised and my ... to this ..not to be and lastly I do constitute and appoint my son John Mitchell and son Richard Mitchell my whole and sole executors of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and fixed my seal this 19th day of April in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Six.
