Vernon Russell Bailey was born to Harry and Kathryn in Riverside, California - October 10, 1939. He attended school in Marysville, CA. He met Joyce and they spent an amazing 55 years of marriage together residing in Durham, CA, Elko, NV, and Meridian, Idaho.

Russ passed away in his home early Wednesday morning - December 11, 2013 after a tough battle with cancer these last couple of years. Russ worked as a truck driver and was a Teamsters Union Member. Prior to retirement, he had also worked in Gold Mining. He loved flying and was an active pilot and member of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association). His hobbies were gardening, reading, and wood working. A true family man at heart, he frequently said, "I can't wait to get home to his Wife and Girls".

Survived by his wife Joyce, daughters: Leslie Bailey of Elko, NV, Cindy Bailey of Elko, NV, and Susan Bailey of Kelso, WA. Grandchildren Michael Funderberg (Kerri), Tabitha Deleon (Joe) Cori Ross (Jarad), and Jamie Bolyard (Caleb). Great-Grand children, Trae, Jada and Devon Deleon, and Sierra Funderberg.

Services will be held at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Rd., Boise, ID 83713, Monday December 16th @ 1:00pm. Public viewing will be from 12pm-12:45pm prior to
