Patricia L. Hunt PORTSMOUTH
Patricia Louise Hunt, 60, a lifelong resident of Portsmouth, died Sept. 2, 2005, at her residence. She retired from Guardian Federal Credit Union and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church where she taught church school and worked with the youth group for many years. Patricia is survived by her husband, Walter Robert Hunt; two daughters, Deborah L. Matheny and her husband Lee of Newport News and Pamela L. Hunt of Winchester, Va.; her beloved grandson, Rian Matheny; two sisters, Sally J. Watson of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Dorothy Budnick of Portsmouth. She was predeceased by her parents, Docia and Johnnie Jernigan; two brothers, Johnnie Jernigan and George Jernigan. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel by the Very Rev. Father R. A. Nagy with interment in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
