Shawnee resident Bill J. Hubbard, 74, died Wednesday, March 3, at his home.
He was born Oct. 6, 1929, in Seminole to Milton and Verna (Stewart) Hubbard.
Hubbard attended school in the Shawnee area.
He was a truck driver for TG&Y stores for 21 years, prior to that he was employed by Keith Mouser Drilling Co.
On June 10, 1951, he married Lois W. Robbins in Wewoka.
He attended Immanuel Baptist Church and was a 32 degree Mason, Masonic Lodge No. 107.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Leroy, Johnny Lee and Eldon Lloyd Hubbard.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Hubbard, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Buster Harris of McAlester and Pamela and Tim Bess of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren, Abby Harris of Dallas, Texas, and Blake Harris of McAlester; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford and Louise Hubbard of Shawnee and Wilburn and Lavern Hubbard of Meeker; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Lonnie Kennedy of Shawnee; sister-in-law, Joy Hubbard Aday of Shawnee; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel of Walker Funeral Service with the Rev. Sam Hendry officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.
