Ringgold, LA. - Funeral services for Nelda Beth Golson, 81, of Ringgold, LA. will be held Monday, December 16, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in Springhill Baptist Church in Ringgold, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Josh Eubanks. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery in Ringgold, LA. Visitation will be Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 2:00-6:00 P.M. at Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold, LA.
Mrs. Golson was born August 20, 1932 in Ringgold, LA. and passed away December 12, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. she was a retired Bienville Parish School bus driver and faithful member of Springhill Baptist Church in Ringgold, LA. Her and her husband worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Shreveport for many years where they were instrumental in winning over seven hundred kids to The Lord.
Mrs. Golson is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ada Puckitt Sledge; husband, Roy Noble Golson; sister, Loyace Hammett; and brothers, Buford Sledge and Woodrow Sledge. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Joy McCorvey and husband, Frank of Pineville, LA.; sons, Roy Golson and wife Lori of Ringgold, LA., Joel Golson of Ringgold, LA. and Shaun Golson and wife, Heidi of Dallas, OR.; brother, T.C. Sledge of Houma, LA.; grandchildren, Josh McCorvey, Angie McCorvey, Quiencey Golson, Meghan Welch, Jeremy Golson, Karlie Golson, Jesse Golson and Jacob Golson; 4 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
