However, that is not historically correct because Coulee City nor Grant County existed at that time. His birth certificate he put in for when he needed it for his Social Security. It was created from the current information and no one checked to see what the area was named at his actual birth date. He therefore was actually born in Hartlin, Douglas County, Washington, U. S. A.
