Mrs. Nora A. Moore
Mrs. Nora A. Moore, 67, 905 East Ninth, died at Bothwell Hospital at 12:45 a.m. Friday, She had been in failing health for a number of year
Mrs. Moore was born in Pettis county, March 5, 1894, daughter of the late Francis and Nettie Pace Garrett. She lived all of her life in Pettis County and Sedalia.
She was married at Sedalia, Oct. 10, 1920, to James L. Moore. They were the parents of five children. One son, Robert Moore, died in infancy and another son, Wilbur F. Moore, lost his life in an auto-train crash east of Sedalia, March 5, 1951. Mrs. Moore was also preceded in death by one brother. Wilbur Garrett, and one sister, Mrs. Birdie Johnson. A step-daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Henselmann died in January 1961.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Epworth Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, James L. Moore; one son, Albert L. Moore, Smithon; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Erfurth, Smithton; Mrs. Kenneth Nelson, Independence; two step-daughters, Mrs. James Hunter, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. John Atkinson, Boonville; one step-son, James H. Bauer, Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Meyer 618 East Tenth; Mrs. Wilbur O'Leary, Smithton; one half-brother, Oliver Garrett, Sedalia; 23 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Ewing Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. H. E. Trevathan, pastor of the Epworth Methosidst Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Smithon Cemetery. The body is at the Ewing Funeral Home.
