Died at Marlette

Mrs. Wesley Northrup passed from this life at
her home in Marlette, on Saturday, Mar. 14,
and funeral services were conducted from the
home on Monday. The remains were taken to
Cass City and interment made in Elkland
cemetery, in the family lot where her father,
mother and brother were buried. Mr. and Mrs.
Northrup were members of the Presbyterian
church at Marlette and the pastor of that
church conducted the services.
Anna Retherford was born at Imlay City June
17, 1877. Anna at the age of 5 years, was
brought by her parents to the Retherford
homestead Her parents were among the early
settlers and her father, Harvey Retherford,
was a soldier of the Civil War in the Union
army. Mrs. Northrup's girlhood days were
passed in Deford. She became Mrs. Northrup
27 years ago.
Relatives and friends attending funeral
services were from Detroit, Saginaw, Midland,
Snover, Cass City and Deford. Of the
immediate family, she is survived by her
husband, Wesley Northrup, of Marlette, one
sister, Mrs. Josie Brooks, of Cass City, and
two brothers, Lewis .and Howard Retherford,
of Deford.
