Shirley Justice
(June 23, 1937 - December 9, 2013)

Shirley Justice was born on June 23, 1937 in Mills Hollow, Missouri. In addition to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she is survived by one daughter and two sons: Jeanna West and her husband Dwayne, Andy Justice and his wife Wendy, and Rusty Justice and his wife Tracey. Her parents, Delbert Shelley and Mable (Beaver) Shelley, preceded her in death.

Shirley and her husband, Gene, were married on April 8, 1955 in Oswego, Kansas and were privileged to share 35 years of their lives with one another in marriage before Gene's passing on August 22, 1990.

Shirley shared her love and wisdom with 16 grandchildren - Virginia, Matt, Tim, Jared, Katie, Jacob, Mandy, Katy, Cody, Jordan, Shelley, Crystal, Summer, Cassie, April and Joey (who preceded her in death).

Additionally, Shirley had 14 great-grandchildren - Trever, Megan, Scout, Thais, Junior, Justice, Hope, Mia, Claudia, Gem, Emmy, Meadow, Seth and Sadie.

She was the youngest of ten brothers and sisters. Five of her siblings preceded her in death - Jerry, Eva, Dick, Mary and Jimmy. She is survived by four siblings - Cressie, Phil, Pat and Melba.

Shirley had many roles in her life but it all seemed to concentrate around children. A housewife while raising her kids, she gave them her full attention. Then, after losing her husband, Gene, she went back to work and, eventually owned a Children's clothing store. After retiring, she was able to concentrate on being "Mammaw" where she seemingly found a way to be every grandchild's favorite person. She had a way of making each of them know how important they were. What a gift!

She also gave "quiet advice" that was only dispensed occasionally and never pushy. She influenced people quietly and effectively. Often, that influence was about eternal things. Shirley's influence helped create a legacy of faith that will continue through the generations of her family. She was so loved and, oh did she Love!

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 14 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Curtis Morton officiating. Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
