Mr. Jamie Eugene White 88 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Eastview Baptist Church. Interment followed in Long Rock Cemetery. Dr. Steve Atwood, Bro. Mike Bowers and Judge John Everett Williams officiated the service.

Pallbearers who served were Jerry White, Jimmy White, Johnny White, Mitch White, David White, Keith White, Gene White, and Steve White. Honorary pallbearers were his great nephews, Bill Perry, James Webb, Chris Boxwell, John Etheridge and Charles Slatin.

Mr. White was born August 19, 1922 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late William White and Minnie (Merritt) White. He was retired from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a member of the Eastview Baptist Church, and a Veteran of Foreign wars. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Madeline Anderson, five brothers, William White, Tom White, Ray White, Waldon White, and Welden White

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lucille White, one daughter Phyllis Williams (David husband) and one son, Phil White (Charlotte wife) all of Huntingdon. He also leaves five grandchildren, Kevin Simmons, Justin White, Nena Deak, Denise Baumgartner, Arley Williams, and three great grandchildren, Alyssa Haley Simmons, Madison Rae Simmons, and Clinton Matthew Simmons
