Mrs. Bettie Dean Bailey George, 79, a lifelong resident of Dutch Bayou Road in Escatawpa, MS, died December 12, 2013.

Bettie was born January 7, 1934 and is preceded in death by her parents, William R. "Tick" Bailey and Mary "Matie" Cromer Bailey, two sisters, Lottie Bailey and Willie (Jake) Cunningham, three brothers, Willard Bailey, Lawrence "Ted" (Thelma) Bailey, and John (Lorrie) Bailey, all of Escatawpa.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Clinton O. George, two sons, Brandon (Karen) George of Hurley and Tracy (Peggy) George of Escatawpa, five grandchildren, Jamie Barron, Lily (Ryan) Parker, Katie George, Taylor George, Jake George and one soon to be great-granddaughter, one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia "Dink" (Ed) Beckham of Pascagoula, one very special sister-in-law, Louella Bailey of East Moss Point and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS. Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Perry Smith and Rev. David Cumbest officiating. Interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery with Taylor and Jake George, Ryan Parker, Aaron Green, Maurice Hulbert and Craig Wood serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are William Cunningham, Jamie Barron and Ronnie Bailey.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to Trinity Bible Church, 7313 Elder Ferry Rd., Moss Point, MS 39563.
