Daughter of William and Mary Emerick Malloey, she was a widow, lived at 1315 Myrtle St, Franklin, died there of myocardial failure, cancer of pancreas that metastasis to liver, per death certificate 63334, whose informant was Mrs. Mary Axtell, 1119 Chestnut St, Franklin. Buried Jul 6 1951.

Franklin News-Herald, Thursday, Jul 5 1951:
Mrs. Gay M. Strawbridge of 1315 Myrtle Street died suddenly in her home at 11:10 am Wednesday. She had been in ill health several months. Daughter of William and Mary Emerick Mallory, she was born in Cherrytree Township, Venango County, Feb. 18, 1875.

She resided the greater part of her life in Franklin, and was a devoted member and ardent worker of the Free Methodist Church for 58 years.

She married Herman L. Strawbridge who died 11 years ago.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Axtell and Mrs. Adda McDonough, both of Franklin; two sons, Floyd E. Strawbridge at home, and Harry C. Strawbridge of Bullion; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, E. F. Mallory of Buffalo.

Services will be in the Free Methodist Church at 2 pm Saturday with Rev. E. E. Jacobs and former pastor, Rev. John Bargar, officiating. Burial will be in franklin Cemetery.
