Milledgeville: Clarence C, Alber, 86, of 306 Hager Avenue, died Tuesday morning (July 18, 1989) in the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mt, Carroll following an extended illness.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday (July 21) at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Milledgeville with the Rev, Michael Lawyer, pastor, officiating, with burial in Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the fi1len~Uoodin Funeral Home in Milledgeville.

A memorial has been established, Mr. Alber was born on March 10, 1903 in Whiteside County, the son of William and Salome Schumacher Alber. He married Margaret T. Gerdes on December 4, 1930 in Milledgeville.

He was a retired farmer and member of the Farm Bureau, He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and a past member of the church council, He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Dan (Lois) Nye of Chadwick and Mrs. Leland (Ruth) Bryson of Milledgeville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Leo Alber of Milledgeville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by one brother and three sisters.
