Elizabeth M. Diehl, 72, formerly of Hellertown died Friday, April 17, 2009, at ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem. She is the wife of the late Herbert P. Diehl (died Nov. 28, 1995).

Born in Fountain Hill on November 10, 1936 to the late Mario & Stephania T. (Bilka) Stival.

She is a member of Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown.

Elizabeth was a graduate of the former St. Lukes School of Nursing earning a RN degree and working in the operating room at St. Lukes Hospital for many years.

She will certainly be missed by her sons, their wives and the grandchildren, bringing many memories to hold and cherish.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Mark W. and his wife, Patricia of Hellertown, Brian A. and his wife, Janet of Hellertown; brother; Paul R.J., of Ark., James J., of Ark.; sisters; Rosemary J., wife, of Joseph L. Matacavage, of Hellertown; four grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Lindsay and Mary

SERVICE: Family and friends are invited to call 7:00-8:30 p.m., Monday April 20, 2009, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown. The service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at the church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown.
