Oct. 13, 1922 - Dec. 6, 2013 ELKHART - Ernestine (Teenie) Bontrager, 91, of Elkhart, Indiana, a former resident of Cassopolis, Michigan, passed to her eternal rest December 6, 2013, at Bronson Hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was born in Missouri to Lemuel and Sophia Fitzgerald, moved to Cassopolis at a young age and graduated from Cassopolis High School. Teenie was married to Samuel Bontrager on June 24, 1944. Sam preceded her in death on February 21, 1995. She was the last of eleven siblings and is survived by her children: Pam Mower, Jill (Stephen) Edelen and Larry Bontrager; three grandchildren: Brianne (Nate) Leslie, Colin Bontrager and Shannon (Kevin) Sprissler; four great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. Teenie loved her life as a mother, grandmother and homemaker, and will be greatly missed by many friends and family. A celebration of her life will take place at 11:00 on Saturday, December 14, at the Cass County Council on Aging, 60525 Decatur Road, Cassopolis, MI. The family requests that memorial donations be made to ADEC, Inc., P.O. Box 398, Bristol, Indiana 46507. .
