Ronna Lee Hughes was born Dec. 26, 1939, in Gladwin County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Ely of Gladwin.
Mrs. Hughes was killed in a motorcycle-car crash early Sunday morning. After her husband got out of work they had started north to their cabin at Grass Lake.
She lived most of her life in Romulus and attended school there. She married Lonnie Hughes in 1957 in Romulus. Their home is in Westland.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Cynthia and Shelly; and a son, Randal; her parents; four sisters, Phyllis Pinkard and Bonnie Ely of Northville, Patricia Hurlburt of Romulus, and Linda Rowe of Sumpter.
Funeral services were held in Westland at 10:00 Wednesday (today) and graveside services at Highland Cemetery, Gladwin, at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Carl Briggs officiating. Gladwin County Record dated 5-24/1972
