Marie C. 'Bootsy' Patterson, 73, of Beaver Falls, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013, in Providence Health Care.
She was born October 9, 1940, to the late Mrs. Florie Patterson in Barnwell, SC. She received her education in Barnwell's public school. She later moved to Bronx, NY, before making her home in Beaver Falls. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Beaver Falls for over 30 years.
Marie left behind many nieces and nephews to grieve, Robert Ford, Allen Ford, Dorothy (Kenneth) Thomas, Florie James, Louis Ford, all of Barnwell, SC, Lucy Moore, Sara Patterson, Susan Neeley, Margaret Neeley, Willie (Bonnie) Patterson, John (Faye) Patterson, Anthony Neeley, Ivan Neeley, and James Neeley, all of Daytona Beach, FL, Shanda (Omar) Brown, Atlanta, GA. She also left behind to grieve all the nieces and nephews of the Kirkland family of Beaver Falls.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Ella Patterson, and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Ford and Mrs. Lillie Neeley.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 12, 2013, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church, 2322 Tenth Ave., Beaver Falls, PA. Additional visitation will be held Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Bishop Reon Nesmith will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Beaver Falls Cemetery.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Providence Care Home and especially her caregivers, Ada Jones, Vicki Pettigrew, Kathy Scott and Cynthia Little.
