She was born in Carey, Idaho, and was predeceased by her parents, most of her siblings, and her husband, Robert Thomas, whom she married in 1943.
People loved Nola because she was always cheerful and quick-witted, with a wonderful sense of humor. She loved the West, but spent much of her adult life in Vermont, which she also grew to love. Upon retirement, she and Robert traveled the West in their RV. She was a great storyteller and enthralled everyone with wonderful stories of her childhood and all the characters she encountered. Her life was rich in experiences.
She is survived by her son, daughter seven grandchildren; and eight great-grand- children.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol.
