Hillary Ray Riley, 56, of Dumas, Ark., formerly of Metropolis, Ill., died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Delta Memorial Hospital in Dumas.He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Metropolis, a graduate of Massac County High School, was presently employed with SAF Industries in Dumas and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.He is survived by his wife, Clara Riley of Lewisville, Texas; two sons, Hillary Riley Jr. of Dallas, and Charles Allen of Metropolis; two daughters, LaTonya Smith of Clute, Texas, and Tolesha Riley of Paducah; eight grandchildren; five brothers, Virgil Eunice Riley of Unionville, Cameron Riley of Columbia, Mo., James Riley and Clemar Lee Riley, both of Metropolis, and Edgar Lee Burns of Vincent, Ind.; seven sisters, Sharon Ann Goodman, Brenda Faye Meadows, Emma Louise Riley, Mary M. Riley and Margaret Ann Bradford, all of Metropolis, and Eunice Riley and Geraldine Turner, both of East St. Louis, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Eunice Lassiter; one brother; and three sisters. His parents were Willie Ben Riley Sr. and Alma Lee Riley.
