WELL KNOWN BRIDGMAN RESIDENT DIES AT 77
Emil R. Freyer, 77, died last night at 11:50 o'clock in his home in Bridgman. He had been ailing for about five months, suffering from a heart ailment. His home had been in Bridgman for 23 years and his occupation was farming.
Mr. Freyer, who was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, was born in Germany on May 8, 1866. He was married on Oct. 6, 1888 to Minnie Pauline Machan of Stevensville. Surviving are the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Rock and Mrs. Alma Raeder, both of Benton Harbor, and two sons, Frank Freyer and Emil Freyer, Jr., of Sawyer. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Amelia Heyn of Bridgman, 22 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The body will remain at the Hall Funeral Home until Thursday morning and then be taken back to the residence.
Funeral Services will be held in Immanuel Lutheran Church at 2:00pm Thursday with the Rev. H.A. Ott officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
