ARLINGTON -- Steve R. Walters, 63, of Arlington, passed away at 11:52 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. On July 23, 1950, he was born to the late Robert and Jeanette E.(Davis) Walters in Bluffton, Ohio. He married Anita R. Weihrauch on June 6, 1978 and she survives.
Steve is also survived by two daughters: Sarah (Dan) Clevenger of Findlay and Megan (Brooks) Simon of Arlington as well as four grandchildren: Leah Simon, Chayse Simon, Paige Clevenger and Mason Clevenger. He is also survived by his sister: Susan Berger of Arlington. He was preceded in death by a brother: Kevin Walters.
Steve was a 1968 graduate of Arlington High School and was a member of the Findlay Masonic Lodge. He loved University of Michigan Football and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Arlington. A Masonic Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with additional visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Pastor Ron Weihrauch will officiate and burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.
