Corp Florian J Boutin reported missing in action in Belgium since Dec 24, 1944 according to a War Department telegram received by his wife.
His wife received a card from him which was written Jan 6, 1945, but not in his handwriting in which he told her he was in a German hospital recovering from a slight wound in his right arm.
Corp Boutin went overseas last June from Camp Breekinridge, KY and was serving with a tank destroyer outfit. Before entering the service in September of 1942 he was an active member of the Maple Leaf A and was employed by Massell Bros.
He attended Lewiston, ME schools.
He is survived by his wife Priscilla; two sons Danny and Paul; three sisters Mrs Fleure-Ange Bissonnette and Mrs Reginald (Contance) Sasseville all of Lewiston, ME; Mrs Roger (Rita) Fournier of Lisbon, ME.
