Heaven gained a valiant angel on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013. Robert (Bob) Lee Quigley, age 57, passed away at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah, after a courageous fight due to complications from diabetes.

Bob was born on Sept. 7, 1956, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Robert Lewis and Ina (Berry) Quigley. He married Sydnee Smith on July 12, 1985, in the Jordan River Utah LDS Temple. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in various callings, including as a missionary in the Georgia Atlanta Mission.

He is survived by his wife, Sydnee, and his beautiful daughter, Madyson Lyn Quigley, of Cottonwood Heights; his siblings, Shirley Jordan, of Prescott, AZ, Louise DeSanti (Rodney), of Phoenix, AZ, Russell Quigley (Joyce), of Pocatello, ID, Karen Uriguen (Bob) of Burley, ID, Viola Evans (Kevin) of Peoria, AZ, and Raymond Quigley (Cheryl), of Boise, ID; two sisters-in-law, JoeAnn Quinn, of Pocatello, ID, and Karen Fida (Carlos) of North Salt Lake, UT; a brother-in-law, Jon Searle (Ronda), of Burley; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Gary Smith; and a sister-in-law, Patrea Searle.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at the Butler LDS West Stake Center, 1845 E. 7200 S., in Cottonwood Heights.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 South), in Sandy, Utah, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Monday at the church.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the Rupert Cemetery in Rupert, Idaho.
