89, of Springfield, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at 7:45 a.m. in Mercy Medical Center. She was born November 21, 1913 in Lawrence County, Kentucky, the daughter of Reason Beatty and Vernola (Curtis) Boggs. She was a member of Miami Valley United Baptist Church in Fairborn. Survivors include two daughters, Marie (Sherrill) O'Brien of Springfield and Ruby Mae Snyder of Melbourne, Florida; two sons, John E. Barker od New Carlisle and Dennis O. Barker of Dayton; 8 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death ny her husband Chester Barker on April 17, 1996, two sons, Chester Owen Barker in 1949 and Walter Dean Barker; son-in-law, Larry Snyder; four brothers and five sisters. Friends may call Wednesday April 2, 2003 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the JACKSON LYTLE & INGLING WILLIAMS Funeral Home, North Limestone Street, A Dignity Memorial Provider. Services will be held in the funeral home Thursday April 3, 2003 at 10:30 a.m.with Elder Wayne Rigsby and Elder Eugene Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Fox Cemetery in Circleville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carrie's memory may be made to Miami Valley United Baptist Church, C/O Gary Preston, 12221 Sandi Lane, Medway, Ohio 45341.
