April 14, 1954 - Dec 7, 2013 BRIDGE CREEK David went to be with his Lord at 59 years of age on Saturday morning. David was born in Hobart, OK to J.B. and Arlene Adair. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Linda Hardesty Adair; daughter, Melissa & husband Scott Sommer; son, Matt & wife Sarah Adair; five grandchildren, Jackson, Seth, Lily, Anna and Jude; brother, Jim Adair & wife Sherry; as well as many loving extended family. David grew up in south OKC. He attended John Adams Elementary and graduated from Western Heights H.S. in 1972. In 1976, he received a degree in accounting from OCU. Soon after, David married his high school sweetheart, Linda, on July 3, 1976. David fought a long battle with M.S., which led to his staying home and raising his young children. They shared in the blessing of having a dad that was always there for them and actively involved in their lives. David has shared in the joy of having five wonderful grandchildren. More than anything, David enjoyed spending time with family, and especially those grandkids. David was a proud member of Brookwood Baptist Church. David was a loving husband, exceptional father and a great "pop." We will all miss him deeply. We would especially like to thank his brother-in-law, Thomas Kelley, for providing assistance and care as his health deteriorated. We have been blessed with such wonderful family and support. Viewing will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes, with the family greeting friends 6-8 p.m. Services to celebrate his life will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at the Brookwood Baptist Church, 8921 S. Walker. Memorials may be made to the National M.S. Society (nationalmssociety.org). Visit vondelsmithmortuary.com to leave a message for the family. vondelsmithmortuary.com
