Ike Roberts passed away on December 7, 2013 at his residence in Liberty Hill, Texas.

He was born in Beaumont, Texas on July 21, 1927 to his parents Harry and Dorothy Roberts who preceded him in death. Ike was the third of four children, his siblings Betty, Harry, Jr. and Curtis which preceded him in death.

Mr. Roberts married Betty Jo Finley on 09/30/1950. He and Mom had three sons, Mike, Pat, Brad, several grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mike preceded him in death and also after sixty-two years of marriage mom passed away in November of 2012.

He talked fondly of growing up in Beaumont, his navy days having served as a United States veteran with a rank of E6, a machinist mate, in World War II and The Korean Conflict. During his adult life he resided in Houston and retired to Lake Jackson, Texas. He retired from Johnson Controls after 36 years of dedicated service, and also was a lifetime member of pipefitter Local 211. He then spent many hours doing what he enjoyed which was fishing and being at the river house.
