SOUTH GLENS FALLS -- Raymond P. Bush Jr., 72, passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born June 23, 1941, in Ticonderoga, he was the son of the late Raymond Sr. and Ida Mae (Farmer) Bush.
Raymond proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1959 to 1962. He was also a member of the Laborers International Union Local 16 for many years.
He enjoyed fishing and was a diehard Yankees fan. He was recently treated to a trip to Yankee Stadium, which he enjoyed very much. Raymond also loved to listen to music of The Eagles. He could often be found enjoying a cold beer. Most of all, Raymond loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was predeceased by a son, Ronald Paul Bush; and two brothers, Joseph and Bruce "Butch" Bush.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Suzanne R. Bush, Shari M. Bush, Jazmine E. Wright and David R. Desrosiers and his wife, Sheila; his grandchildren, Terry "TJ" LaJeunesse Jr., Kira Bush, Kallee Bush, Samantha Bush, Saudia Ross, Crystal Desrosiers and Jennifer Desrosiers; his great-grandchildren,
Matthew Samora and Abbagayle Tripp; his sisters, Shirley Terrill and Sandra Bush; his brothers, Fran Bush and Bob Farmer; the mother of Suzanne, Shari, Ronald and David, and Gayle Hoffmann; and the mother of Jazmine Kimberly Wright; as well as many nieces and nephews.
At Raymond's request, there will be no calling hours.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main St., South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
