Reeves-Funeral service for Georgia "Lou" Rion, 76, will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Reeves Bible Church. Rev. Glen Ducharme, Rev. Mark Land, Rev. Don Barrett, Rev. Jerry Long and Rev. U.A. Doiron will co-officiate the service. Burial will follow in Lyle Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. The family will receive visitors at Reeves Bible Church on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 between 2 and 9 p.m. and will continue visitation at the church on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Lou was a lifelong resident of Reeves where she was an active member of Reeves Bible Church. She graduated from Reeves High School, attended North Texas University and graduated from McNeese State University. She was a retired Reeves High School 3rd grade teacher.

Lou was actively involved in Camp Pearl Ministries over the years. She was described as a "selfless giver" to her community, family and friends. Her values are forever rooted in the hearts of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a friend to all and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her three sons, Lynn Lusk and wife, Linda of Rosepine, Craig Rion and wife, Jackie of Moss Bluff, and Ebby Burnitt and wife, Darlene of Frankston, TX; one daughter, Nanette Dennis and husband, Wayne of Seagoville, TX; one brother, U.A. Doiron and wife, Lou Ellen of Moss Bluff; one sister, Barbara Land and husband, Carlos of Arkansas; her grandchildren-Kristin, Jessica, Chelsea, Tiffany, Derrick, Erin, Megan, MeMe, Morgan, Ashleigh, Carrie, Rion, Regen, Christene and Rachel; and 12 great grandchildren.

Lou is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Toody" Rion; her parents, Carrie and Ulysse Doiron; and, two sisters, Mary Walker and Margie Walker.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lou's memory to Camp Pearl Ministries.
