Rev. C. C. Ehler of the Zion Lutheran Church officiated at the rites held Wednesday at the church for Charles H. Hansen, 65, who died Sunday in the Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness. Interment was in the Garden of Memories under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.
He was a native of Springfield, Ill., and veteran of World War One. He had lived in Kerrville for 33 years and the family home is at 1312 Water Street. He was a civil service worker and was an employee at the Veterans Hospital for 17 years. He was a member of the American Legion and of the Lutheran Church.
His survivors are his wife of the home address; four children; Mrs. C. H. Dunahoo of Roy, Utah; Mrs. F. B. Hurley of San Antonio; Harold C. Hansen of Corpus Christi; and Kermit Hansen of Oklahoma City; five brothers, one of which, Harry Hansen, resided in Kerrville; 14 grandchildren.
