Funeral services were held Sunday in the Smith Chapel for James Alvin Cantwell, 31, who died Friday after a several weeks' illness. Smith Funeral Home directed the rites and interment was in the Garden of Memories. G. B. Shelburne, minister of the Church of Christ, assisted by Rev. Buckalew of Fredericksburg, officiated.
A natives Wise County Mr. Cantwell had lived in Ingram for the past year. He was a veteran of World War II, and had served in Co. E of the 347 Infantry.
He is survived by his wife and two children, Bobbie Ruth and James Don, and his parents. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Cantwell, of Ingram. One brother, Malvin Cantwell of Ingram, and five sisters: Mrs. Ruby Lee Brown and Miss Edith Cantwell, Ingram; Mrs. Pauline Flemings, Fresno, Cal.; Mrs. Estellle Thomas, Doss Vanis, Cal.; and Mrs. Tommie Jean Willis, Modesto, Cal.
