Susan Mildred Morrow, 88, of Newville died Saturday Sept. 29, 2012, at her home.
She was born Oct. 28, 1923, in Oakville, the daughter of John S. and Lucy E. Wagner Frick.
Mrs. Morrow was the widow of Leroy J. Morrow, who died Sept. 24, 2002.
She was a member of the Green Spring First Church of God. She had worked for U-Wanna-Wash-Frocks of Newville, and the Newville Shoe Factory.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, John, William, Cloyd, Lynn and Rolla Frick; two sisters, Lula Negley and Grace Lippert; and a niece whom she was especially fond of, Doris Mentzer.
Mrs. Morrow is survived by a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, including her great nephew Brad Mentzer and his wife Cindy of Carlisle, who provided some care in recent years. Mrs. Morrow is also survived by a dear friend, Faye Roney, of Carlisle, with whom she spoke daily by telephone.
Friends will be received Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Egger Funeral Home Inc., 15 Big Spring Ave., Newville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Shad Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
