Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 13, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Deacon Kenny Wolbaum officiating.
Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday, December 12, at Parkway Funeral Service, where a vigil/rosary service will begin at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at Parkway Funeral Service.
Marvin was born July 7, 1947, the son of Arthur and Katherine Hayes in Moffit, and attended Moffit Schools. He married Betty Marquart on September 30, 1967. Marvin was drafted to the US Army and served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in September of 1969.
Marvin worked many years for Melroe and Bobcat Co., and most recently was employed and retired from Central Mechanical, Mandan, ND.
Marvin is survived by his three children, Chad, Bryce and Angela; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Moffit and Eunice Savenko; six brothers, Kelly, Robert, Gary, Tom, Courtney and Terry; dear friend, Izzy Hatzenbuhler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Katherine Hayes; his sister, Collene Stickney; two brothers, Duane and Arden Hayes; three brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.
