Eythel L. Kemmerly, 92, of Towanda, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001 at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 29, 1909 to Lewis G. and Nellie C. Burkett Throckmorton at Woodward County, Okla. She came to this area in 1918 and spent most of her life here. She was a homemaker and a member of Towanda United Methodist Church.

On July 20, 1928, she was married to Arthur Allen Kemmerly at El Dorado. He preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 1986.

Survivors include: sons, Richard and wife Jean Kemmerly of Benton, Jack and wife Fran Kemmerly of Yuba City, Calif., and Dan and wife Irene Kemmerly of Alamosa, Colo.; a daughter, Judy and husband Rex Parks of Eureka; a sister-in-law, Pat Orndorff of El Dorado; 18 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, a son, nine sisters and a brother.
