Interment followed at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
His family says that Mr. Garner was a devoted husband who was loved by his many family members, friends and neighbors.
Mr. Garner was born Dec. 24, 1942, in Denver to Morris and Jenn Garner. He attended Cheltenham Elementary, Lake Junior and North High.
He received his degree in business administration from CU.
Mr. Garner married Alisa Tanzer on Jan. 16, 1994.
He worked in banking and credit management.
A member of BMH-BJ, Mr. Garner was active in the American Parkinson Disease Association and organized several fundraising walks to raise money for research on Parkinson's disease.
He and wife traveled extensively, including Israel, Hawaii, Bermuda and New Orleans.
Mr. Garner is survived by his wife Alisa Garner; sister-in-law Janis (Jim) Anderson; nephew Kevin (Cassie) Anderson; grandchildren in Houston, Texas, and four grandchildren in Colorado.
