MUNCIE--Leona E. Lowe, 88, 2711 N. Milton St., died Thursday in Muncie Health Care Center.
Mrs. Lowe was a lifelong Muncie resident and attended St. Lawrence School. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include three sons, Virgil E. Lowe (wife: Peggy), George W. Lowe (wife: Mary), and James A. Lowe (wife: Nina); two daughters, Delores E. Herbert (husband: Elmer) and Anna L. Green (husband: Richard); two sisters, Rose Doyle and Ethel Schesky; a son-in-law, Rudolph Gray; 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Her husband, Virgil O. Lowe, two daughters, a brother and a granddaughter are deceased.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Calling will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Meeks Mortuary with a rosary recitation at 5:30 p.m.
