Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Feb. 13 at Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel in Nocona with the Rev. Les Ryan officiating. Burial followed at the Nocona Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 12 at Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel.
Roper was born Oct. 7, 1961 in Bowie to James Leonard Roper and Betty Ruth Frazier. He worked in the oilfield and married Christina Gann.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Roper, Henrietta; sons, Dwight Roper, Lawton, Terry Don Roper, Gainesville, Jerry Allen Roper, Lawton, Cody Roper, Nocona, Joshua Roper, Nocona, Matthew Roper, Nocona, and Christopher Roper, Henrietta; daughters Jessica Roper, Henrietta, and Cynthia Roper, Henrietta; sisters Tammy Roper, Nocona, and Cindy Russell, Gainesville; brothers James Roper, Ringgold, Roger Roper, Nocona, Jason Roper, Bowie, and David Roper, Nocona; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Roper.
Active pallbearers were Claude Johnson, Randy O'Neil, Tommy Hill, Leonard Welch, David Gann and Kenneth Breeze.
