SERVICES HELD FOR NAVAL OFFICER JAMES BURROW

Services were held today for Capt. James B. Burrow, the former chief of staff of the Seattle-based 13th Naval District. Burrow, who held that position between 1960 and 1963, died Monday. He was 74.
He was born in Pensacola, Fla., graduated from the U.S. Navy Academy, attended the Armed Services Staff College and went to the Naval War College.
He was active in World War II and in the Korean War. After his retirement from the Navy in 1963, he worked at the Boeing Co. for a number of years.
Burrow is survived by his wife, Caroline Burrow of Seattle, and two sons, James B. Burrow Jr. of Escondido, Calif., and Barry V. Burrow of San Diego.
Services were at Bonney Watson on Broadway, with private internment at Acacia Memorial Park. Remembrances are suggested to King County Animal Control in Kent or a favorite charity.
