Mrs. Ruth Ann Adams, 63, a former resident of Sikes, died early Wednesday, August 14 in Columbia Heights Hospital in Columbia following an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on August 15 at Columbia Heights Baptist Church with the Revs. John Gould and Arlie Bratton officiating. Burial was in Welcome Home Cemetery near Grayson.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Watson Adams, Columbia; two sons, James L. Adams of Columbia and Delane Adams of West Monroe; one daughter, Mrs. Hila Mae McCarty, Columbia; three brothers, Loyd Parker,[Lawrence Parker and Robert J. Parker; one sister], Mrs. A. L. White of Sikes; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also, a large number of relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Clio Adams, Homer Parker, Bobby R. Parker, and Dale White.

Mrs. Adams was a resident of the Sikes Community until a few years ago and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
