ELKHART- Joseph "Joe" C. Emerson, 60, of Edwardsburg, passed away on Thursday December 5, 2013 at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born February 28, 1953 in Elkhart to Evan W. & Ardis E. (Landis) Emerson.
Surviving is a daughter, Amy L. Goll of Edwardsburg, MI, 3 sisters, Karen (Dallas) Johnston of Elkhart, Cheryl (Jeff) Losee of Bristol, Jeri Thompson of Indianapolis, 6 nieces and 9 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Joe graduated in 1971 from Elkhart High School. He was a former member of the Elkhart Elks Lodge and he enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Joe worked for Conrail, the Elkhart Police Department as a dispatcher, was co-owner of J. Clark & Company in Bristol and worked for Foremost Fabrications in Goshen.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday December 9, 2013 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to the service. Pastor Rob Meckley from the Adamsville Road Church of God will preside.
Cremation will take place.
