John Wesley West, 80, of Irving died on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at his home. Born March 15, 1933 in Coleman TX, he was the son of the late James Oliver West and Ora V Pardue West Price. Preceded in death also by his step-father Palmore Rankin Price, brother, Benjamin "Bennie" West, sister, Lester "Sis" West Duncan, his wives, Laverne Titsworth-West and Joyce Bichell-Bailey-West, and a son, Richard "Rick" West, he is survived by daughters: Rhonda West-Jennings of Dubach, LA and Mary Bailey-Williams of LaRue TX; son, William Bailey of Lake Dallas TX; brothers, James Oliver West of Round Rock TX, Garland West of Jefferson TX, Reverend Ralph West of Bethany, OK, and Truman Lee Price of Bakersfield CA; sisters Leta Mae Price-Williams of Arlington, TX and Winnie Price-Miller of Abilene TX; and a proud legacy of 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. A memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubach, LA. Another memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at Northgate United Methodist Church, 3700 West Northgate in Irving, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Benevolence Fund of either church. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas.
