Algie Gray, 42 who was about to return to his shipyard work Monday after an absence because of illness, died as he left his home for his employment.

He was a native of Bridgton, son of Luther and Clara Harmon Gray and was graduated from Bridgton High School and Gray's Business College, Portland. He was an accountant in Portland about 10 years before returning to Bridgton.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bessie Robinson Gray, formerly of Gray: three daughters, Gloria, Geraldine and Myra; a four-months-old son; two brothers, Frank of Sabatus and Stanley, in the air service in California; and two sisters, Mrs. George Smith of Bridgton and Mrs. Merle Ward or Hiram.
